A. Hardware & Software:

B. Submissions:
1. Essay 1 – DUE Friday, 3/1
Essay 1 should describe your plans for your Re-Mix Mini-Project including audio sources, aesthetic intentions, musical and technical goals that you plan to meet. An 800 word count – minimum.
2. Essay 2 – DUE Friday, 3/8
Essay 2 should describe your actual Re-Mix Mini-Project as an “after-action report” detailing what worked and what didn’t, how you changed course, what you learned and how you met your musical and technical goals. An 1200 word count – minimum.
3. Performance – DUE Tuesday, 3/5 in class
The performance of your Re-Mix Mini-Project in class on 3/5. Be sure to record your performance in your Live/Suite 8 set, as it must be a part of your submission.
4. Live/Suite 8 .alp – DUE Tuesday, 3/5 in class
Your Live/Suite 8 set submitted as an .alp file, performance data included, in class that day.
B. Specifications:
1. Required Audio Samples/Warping:
Audio Samples Warped – 8 or more separate samples from at least 3 tunes/pieces
Audio Clips – multiple
Audio Scenes – multiple
Audio Clip Envelopes – multiple affecting at least volume, panning, pitch
2. Required Audio Effects Implemented in Audio Racks w/ Macro Controls:
Delays – from Simple Delay, Ping Pong, Filter Delay
Filtering – EQ 3, EQ 8, Filter Delay
Dynamic Processing – Limiter
3. Required Re-Mix Mini-Project Template:
Use the Re-Mix Mini-Project Template for your piece substituting racks, OR, substitute a more extensive template of your own design that is more advanced.
4. Optional Audio Effects Implemented in Audio Racks w/ Macro Controls:
Delays – Beat Repeat, Flanging, Phasing, Chorus, Reverb or others
Filtering – Resonator, Auto Filter, or others
Dynamic Processing – Compressor
5. Optional MIDI techniques:
Slice-to-MIDI technique with samplers
MIDI Clips – multiple
MIDI Tracks – multiple
